APPLICATION ESSENTIALS

Position yourself for the market.

Being qualified for a role isn't enough if the value of your experience isn't immediately clear. And "immediately" is not an exaggeration: recruiters typically spend just 6-8 seconds on a first scan of your CV or LinkedIn profile. In that time, there's no room to piece together your fit; the case has to be obvious. And in a market where AI tools have made every application look a little more polished and similar, that first scan is only getting harder to win.

That's the gap Application Essentials closes. Working together, we'll get clear on what you're targeting and how you want to be positioned — then make sure your CV, LinkedIn and cover letter carry that story. You walk away having already done the work a recruiter doesn't have time to do themselves.

  • 90 min working session

  • Target role definition

  • Positioning & professional narrative

  • Expert review & recommendations for your CV, LinkedIn and cover letter

Before changing your CV, we need to know what we're optimizing it for. We'll clarify the roles, level and type of opportunity you're targeting and identify what employers are likely to be looking for in the roles you're targeting.

Target role

1
What jobs should you actually be pursuing?

What we will work on

THE FRAMEWORK
What should a recruiter or hiring manager understand about you within the first few seconds? We'll identify the experience, strengths and professional value you want to bring to the foreground and the narrative that ties them together.

Your positioning

2
How should you present your experience for those jobs?

Materials

3
Does your CV, LinkedIn and cover letter actually communicate that positioning?
CV
I'll review your CV through a hiring-side lens — what comes across immediately, what's getting lost and how your experience and achievements support the level you're targeting. You'll get recommendations on what to change and why.
LinkedIn
We'll make sure your profile reinforces the same positioning as your CV and that your relevant experience is easy for recruiters to find and understand at a glance. As with the CV, you'll get practical feedback to apply yourself.
Cover Letter
If you use one, I'll review your approach and help you make it more specific and relevant — something that adds to your application rather than repeating your CV in paragraph form.
Once you book, you'll get a link to a short intake form and scheduling page to book your working session.
Through the intake, you'll share your CV, LinkedIn profile, cover letter and a few sample vacancies you're targeting. I'll review all of it before we meet, so our 90 minutes together goes straight into analysis and discussion.

Before we meet

01
We'll spend 90 minutes working through your target roles, positioning and application materials. This is a review and working session rather than a done-for-you rewrite. I'll give you specific recommendations on what to change, what to emphasize and what to remove along with examples where useful.

Working session

02
After the session, you'll have clear recommendations to work through across your CV, LinkedIn and cover letter. As you put the feedback into practice, you may have follow-up questions. You can email me for 14 days afterwards and I'll help you work through them.

How it works

THE STEPS
I spent years hiring and evaluating candidates before becoming a coach. That experience shapes how I review your CV, LinkedIn and cover letter. I look at what catches attention, what raises questions, what gets overlooked and what helps a recruiter see that you're a strong fit. My goal is to help you tell a strong story through your application materials that makes you stand out to employers while staying authentic to who you are.
